# A CV for a job outside IT

> An employer looks at a CV for a few seconds. In that time they must see the job title, your experience and that you can do exactly what they need.

## What goes first

- **The job you want**, one title: "Accountant", "Sales manager", "Driver-forwarder". Not "any job".
- **A one-line summary:** years of experience and the main skill. "6 years of bookkeeping on the general tax system with VAT".
- **Contacts:** phone, email, city. A photo if you like.

## Experience: numbers instead of duties

Instead of "responsible for sales", write "handled 40 clients, hit 118% of plan". Instead of "worked in a warehouse", write "picked up to 150 orders a shift". Numbers show the scale and stick in the mind.

List each job separately: company, years, title, two or three points with results. Experience from over ten years ago can shrink to one line.

## Skills employers look for

- Software: BAS / 1C, M.E.Doc, Excel, a CRM (Bitrix24, KeyCRM), a WMS.
- Licences and papers: a driving licence with its category, a forklift licence, a medical book.
- Languages: Ukrainian, English or Polish, with the level.

Use the same words as the job posts: employers and job sites search CVs by them.

## What to leave out

- Date of birth, marital status and passport details: CVs do not need them.
- General qualities with no examples: "sociable, responsible".
- A second page if you have nothing to fill it with.

## A check and a builder

Paste your CV and a job post into the [free CV check](https://autoapply.com.ua/en/tools/cv-check): it shows which skills from the post are missing. The AutoApply CV builder makes a one-page CV in 10 minutes, with AI help and a PDF that Work.ua and Robota.ua can read.

## FAQ

### Do I need a CV for a manual job?

It helps: even a half-page CV with the title, years of experience and licences gets opened more often than an application without one.

### How many CVs should I make?

One for each kind of job if you look for different work, for example "Storekeeper" and "Forklift driver".
